MacArthur School offers parents and students a variety of instructional choices. We offer dual language classrooms as an instructional option, along with multi-age general education classrooms.
Parents may choose to enroll their child in the dual language program from kindergarten through sixth grade. The goal of the program is for the students to be proficient in Spanish and English. Each classroom is comprised of native English-speakers and native Spanish-speakers. The richness of our diverse student population is an added bonus for our community.
We are a community of professional learners. Our goal is to work collaboratively in order to ensure that all students learn. Our instructional focus is balanced literacy. The needs of our students are met through differentiated instruction and best-practice teaching strategies. Our students who have an Individualized Education Plan receive services and support within the general education classroom or on an individual basis, according to their IEP goals.
The MacArthur PTA is very active and supportive of our students, staff and parents.
MacArthur serves approximately 490 students in kindergarten through sixth grade from Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg and Rolling Meadows.
