About MacArthur

MacArthur is honored to be an International Spanish Academy. The English-Spanish Dual Language Program allows students to learn in Spanish during social science and language arts classes. Each classroom is comprised of native English-speakers and native Spanish-speakers. The richness of our diverse student population is an added bonus for our community.

We are a community of professional learners. Our goal is to work collaboratively in order to ensure that all students learn. Our instructional focus is balanced literacy. The needs of our students are met through differentiated instruction and best-practice teaching strategies. Our students who have an Individualized Education Plan receive services and support within the general education classroom or on an individual basis, according to their IEP goals.

The MacArthur PTA is very active and supportive of our students, staff and parents.

MacArthur serves approximately 435 students in kindergarten through sixth grade from Hoffman Estates and Schaumburg.
