Fall is in full swing and that means cooler weather, pumpkins and cinnamon. It also means that Halloween is just around the corner, and it is probably time to start thinking about Halloween costumes. On Thursday, October 31, we will be celebrating Halloween by having our annual costume parade and room parties. In choosing an appropriate costume for your child to wear at school, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • No weapons or “look-alikes” of any kind (squirt guns, etc.)
  • Ensure that costumes are appropriate and inoffensive to all ages at our school
  • Try not to have your child wear make-up or costumes to school in the morning

Students will have time to change into their costumes after lunch/recess. We do plan to hold the parade outside. All parade spectators are asked to remain outside for the duration of the parade. Our parade will begin at 1:15 PM. The parade route will take the students around the perimeter of the building, so standing anywhere on the outside will give you a good view.

All Halloween room parties will begin immediately following the parade.  As a reminder, only room parents will be allowed in the building after the parade. Also, according to District policy, we ask that you do not send any food to school for your child to pass out to his/her classmates. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope all our students have a fun and safe Halloween this year!
