Dear Parents/Guardians,

Almost welcome back to a new school year. It is hard to believe that it has already been two months since we dismissed the students for summer vacation. I am guessing that most of you are counting down the days until school starts again.   

I would like to welcome all of our new students/families and say welcome back to all who are returning. We have some new staff that I would like to introduce:

Karla Flores – 2nd grade teacher

Gabriela Aponte-Rodriguez – Special Services Teacher 

Michelle Azzaretto – Kindergarten

Patricia Garcia-Vargas – Paraprofessional 

Attendance

Daily attendance at school is critical. If your child will be absent from school for any reason, call the attendance line to let the office know, 847-357-6652. Please call before 8 AM to leave a message.

Teacher Placement 
On August 7, you will be able to enter your parent portal account and see the name of your child’s teacher. Only families that have verified residency will be able to view the teacher placement.

Back to School Night
We look forward to seeing you at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 13, 4:00 – 6:00.

• Students will be able to drop off supplies before the start of school
• Students and parents will have a chance to meet the classroom teachers and walk the building

Also, the PTA will be around the building helping to answer questions and accept memberships.
