Halloween

On Friday, October 29, we will be celebrating Halloween by having our Annual Costume Parade and Halloween Room Parties.  In order to ensure the safety of all our students, we will be using the following guidelines for our school celebration.

In choosing an appropriate costume for your child, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • No costumes depicting violence (no fake blood or gore, please)
  • No weapons or “look-alikes” of any kind (toy guns, plastic swords, etc.)
  • Keep make-up to a minimum
  • Be certain that your child can see through his/her mask
  • Students must continue to wear a face-mask as well.
  • Students will not come to school in their costumes, they will change into them prior to our parade at 1:15 PM.

Students will be able to change into their Halloween costumes starting at 1:00 PM. Our Halloween parade will begin at 1:15 PM. We will begin at the front entrance of the school and make our way around the entire building, finishing back at the main entrance. All parade spectators are asked to remain outside for the duration of the parade. Please maintain appropriate distancing during the parade while on school grounds. In case of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled.

Halloween room parties will begin in the afternoon at 1:30PM and conclude at 2:40PM.  Parties will be facilitated by a limited number of volunteers coordinated by the PTA. If you are volunteering in a classroom, you will check in at the front office before walking to your child’s classroom.  Please remember that all volunteers must have proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test result within 7 days of the party.  Only those people that are on the volunteer list in the main office will be allowed to help at the party.

Due to various allergies present in our classrooms, we will once again require that you refrain from sending any treats to school for your child to pass out to his/her classmates.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and we hope all our students have a fun and safe Halloween this year!

We will have an alternative fun activity for families that would like to opt out of the Halloween celebration. Please contact us if you would prefer that your child(ren) not participate in the Halloween festivities.
