Dear MacArthur Community,

I hope you are enjoying your summer and that this email finds you happy, healthy and safe. I am reaching out to you today with a message from Ms. Garza:

Dear MacArthur Community,

I hope this communication finds you well.  I am grateful for the relationships I have built with the MacArthur staff, students, and community, and for a positive first year administration experience.

With that said, it is with a heavy heart that I share with you that due to circumstances in my personal life, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my administrator role in District 54.  I assure you this decision was not easy to make.  I know that these kinds of changes are hard on all of us, but at this time this is what is best for me and my family.  While I will miss this community tremendously, I hope that I will continue to see many of you, as I will continue to be a part of the District 54 family.

This past year has shown me that MacArthur is an extraordinary place, and I am grateful for the wonderful memories and connections I have made this past year.  I wish you all the best,  I know the MacArthur family will continue to thrive.

Sincerely,

Lisa Garza

We are grateful to Ms. Garza for her dedication to the MacArthur students, staff and community over the past year. We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with her. While Ms. Garza will be missed, MacArthur will be in good hands! We are excited to welcome Ms. DIlshad Patel as our Assistant Principal for the 2020-2021 school year! Below is a message from Ms. Patel:

Dear MacArthur Community,

It is an honor to serve as the new assistant principal at MacArthur International Spanish Academy.  I have been working in Schaumburg School District 54 for the last 13 years, starting as a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Stevenson Elementary School.  I taught for five years before becoming a Quantum Learning Instructional Coach and New Teacher Mentor for the district.  I have also served on the district’s Happiness Team, promoting the principles of positive psychology.

While I am now stepping into this new role, MacArthur is a familiar school that I have had the privilege of supporting as a district coach and mentor.  It is evident that MacArthur is a place where students, families, and staff all work together toward the district’s mission of ensuring student success.   I look forward to continuing to support this mission with you as we build a partnership together as a MacArthur community.

Sincerely,

Dilshad Patel

Enjoy your summer MacArthur! We look forward to continuing to serve this amazing community.
