Dear MacArthur Community,
It has been great to be back at work with our Toros this week! As part of our SEL curriculum, students are learning about kindness. Many of them have engaged in activities to promote kindness throughout the building (and hopefully at home too!). Ask your child what they have learned about kindness this week! Please read on for additional important announcements including the December edition of the MacArthur PTA newsletter. We hope you have a wonderful weekend Mac!

MacArthur Giving Tree
We have just two ornaments left on our Holiday Giving Tree at MacArthur! If you are interested in giving back to our community this holiday season, you can pick up an ornament from the tree. The ornaments include an item that a child wants or needs. We ask that gifts are wrapped, the ornament placed number side up on the gift and dropped off in our office by December 13. Thank you for your generosity!
5 Essentials Survey
Once again, we are reaching out to our families and asking you to participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials Survey to provide us with your perspective and help guide our school improvement efforts. The parent survey will be available online through Feb. 14, 2020, at https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois.
