Dear MacArthur Community,
It has been another great week at MacArthur! This week our students completed their 21-Day Challenge and it was wonderful to read their reflections on their experience. On a related note, MacArthur will once have the MacArthur Giving Tree. This is an initiative to help support members of our community during the holidays. If you are interested in purchasing and donating a gift for one of our MacArthur families, you can pick up an ornament from the tree display in our front hallway. A flyer with additional information was sent home today. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Sonia Esquivel and Debbie Ancona
MacArthur staff will be taking on a shift at McDonalds! Come join us for this FUNdraiser to support our PBIS program. McTeacher’s Night will be December 6 from 4:30-7:30 at the McDonalds on Golf and Roselle. A flyer with additional information will be going home with students.
This week we also had our first big snowfall of the season! With the winter weather upon us, it is important that students are dressing appropriately for the weather. It is time to bring out the big coats, hats and gloves! It is also important to remember that students should not arrive at before 8:25 A.M., as there is no adult supervision outside until then.
Map testing will continue next week. We are excited to see the growth that our students have made since the fall administration of the assessment. Please be sure to remind your child to get a good night’s sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and put forth their best effort.
Spirit Days Are Here!
The MacArthur Student Council has chosen the spirit days for the next several weeks. Each spirit day will be held on a Wednesday, so please mark your calendars! We are hoping everyone, students and staff, participate in this FUN!
